Dr. Tuhina Islam is an Assistant Professor of History at Aliah University, Kolkata. Earlier she has served as an Assistant Professor in Raiganj University, Uttar Dinajpur. She has completed her doctorate degree from the Centre of Advanced Study, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University. The thrust area of her research besides social and cultural life of Mughal court ladies lies in women’s periodicals and print culture in North India of early twentieth century. She has published her book on Literary Contribution of Mughal Court Ladies (16th -17th Century) and published research papers on various themes of women in different national and international journals and edited books.
