About the department

Functioning since 2010, this is one of the oldest departments in the University that was established under the supervision of Late Professor P.K.Nag, Former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. Several luminaries who graduated from this department served as industrialists, fulfilling the nationalist aspirations. The teachers of the department are also actively involved in technology development and dissemination to the industry and the practicing engineers. The department can boast of an excellent workshop with the state of the art facilities, including CNC machines.
