URDU

Department of Urdu is one of the youngest departments of Aliah University. It was started in the year 2015 with few guest lecturers. In September 2017, six permanent faculty members joined the department. Dr. Shaheen Sultana, Associate Professor, joined as Head of the department for the first time. During her tenure, she had given the department a complete shape by her able administrative capabilities in terms of developing infrastructures and academic resources for it's students, research scholars  and faculty members. The department is one of the vibrant departments in Park Circus campus. 

The Department offers Undergradute, Postgraduate and Doctoral Programmes. Apart from teaching, the department has organized numerous memorable and glorious programmes in past years that includes National/International Seminars, Conferences, Special Lectures and many social programmes that engage each and every member of the department.
