Candidates Enrolled in 2020:
1. Rahul Shaw is a Research Scholar in the Department of Law, Aliah University, Kolkata. He is born and bought up in Kolkata and has received all his academic education in the city. He has hopped from science to arts to commerce and has finally steeled himself to study and make an academic career in Law. His doctoral thesis is focused on the field of Competition Law and its applicability in the Digital Platform.
2. Amlan De is a Research Scholar at the Department of Law, Aliah University, Kolkata. He has been academically proficient student and consistently maintaining his position at the top of the class through his academic years, for which he has been bestowed with several Government and private endowments. Aliah University selected him for Gold Medal for securing 1 st class 1 st position in LL.M in 2019. He is the only one from his law college batch who got First Class in five years B.A.LL.B degree course from the University of Burdwan. He actively worked with many Senior Advocates of Calcutta High Court and Alipore District Court which subsequently helped him to widen his scope of subject understanding. During his graduation time, he led a group of five students for a visit to the then Honourable Governor Mr. Keshari Nath Tripathi at Raj Bhawan in Kolkata. In 2018, he felt privileged to get special invitation to meet former President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee at his residence. He has successfully completed a Socio Legal research on Medical Negligence during his LL.M degree course. He attended and presented various research papers in National and International seminars. His areas of research are IP Policy, Technology and IP Laws, IP and Commercial Implementation of Intellectual Property Laws.
