Md. Ashfaque Julfikar is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of History, Aliah University, Kolkata. He is also pursuing his Ph.D from Centre of Advanced Study, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University. He has done his B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. in History from AMU, Aligarh. He has qualified UGC-NET thrice in (June, 2014, January, 2017 & November, 2017) and WBCSC-SET (2015). He was also awarded UGC: Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) and ICHR: Study-cum-Travel Grant during his PhD. His area of specialization and interest is Medieval Indian History, History of the Delhi Sultanate, History of the Mughal Empire and the History of Islam in South Asia.
